picturing GOOD SOULS

As I continue on this journey of learning and sharing my photography, I am continually reminded that the universe puts good souls in our lives. Just the right people *happen* to come into our lives at just the right time. Sometimes a stranger offers a smile just when we need it. Sometimes a friend offers a simple solution that didn’t cross our minds. Sometimes we read or comment on a blog with the perfect words. I have been so grateful to connect and re-connect with kindred spirits — friends and family, fellow photographers and bloggers, and like-minded people who just want to find extra meaning in their everyday lives — thank you to those of you who are reading and for those of you who have reached out with your comments — I cherish every one.

I took this picture because of one of my kindred spirits here in Lincoln, Meghan, a fellow photographer who is using photography to focus on the important things in her life, tries to take pictures of found hearts and stars, as a reminder of all of the love in the universe. Imagine my delight when I pulled off my shoes after a tiring day at work and found that the soles of my shoes had both hearts and stars on them. Rather than moving on to the next thing on my to-do list, I pulled out my phone and shared this sweet moment with her. I wouldn’t have noticed or perhaps cared about this small detail if it wasn’t for her. It reminds me that am so grateful to be walking with on this journey with good soles (souls).

So good to find heart, soul, and stars everywhere. Reminds of Rick Ruggles’ work: http://www.rickruggles.com/posters.html.

    I find heart-shaped rocks everywhere.
